Hey everyone,

Just installled a copy of eBlah 10.3.6.  I tried enabling the SMTP option as well as the sendmail option but neither seems to work on my site.  I would prefer to use the SMTP function as it is a native Perl procedure rather than making an external call.

I get the following errors:

Net::SMTP Error

Can't call method "auth" on an undefined value at (eval 15) line 4.

Can someone explain this error to me?

Are you using TTS/SSL?

I am not...I don't think, my mail server does require authentication though, maybe that's what you're referring to.

Perchance, are you using Google as your mail server?

I am not...it's a server that my domain host is providing me.  I am running the software on my own system at home and relaying email to my domain's mail server
