E-Blah Community / Mod Requests and Support / Mod doesn't work after installing
Posted by: Chez1, September 13, 2009, 10:31pm
I have installed the advanced spoiler mod that I found on this page..
http://www.eblah.com/forum/m-1211527480/It does a test install fine, then says it has been installed correctly, but I do not get the H icon up, nor does the [hide] code work. When I go back to the modification center, it tells me the mod still has not been installed. Have tried a few times.
This is the first time I have installed a mod, as our previous admin used to do all that, but it seems straightforward enough..but maybe there is something else that I need to do? Any ideas?
Am running latest eblah version.

When the mod install center says it's installed/test installed correctly does it show the code that it's gonna change?
If not, re-uopload the mod in ASCII.
If you've tried that, then.... I'm out. ;)

Make sure it is uploaded in ASCII, not BINARY or AUTO

Thanks guys...auto usually works fine - but if I had been thinking straight I would have picked that one up myself. All working!

Ok, another little problem with this mod. It seems only admin can see the actual spoiler. Others click on "show" to get a message saying they must participate in the thread to view. Those members have been participating and still they get that message.

I meant to pop back and say thanks Martin, as that worked for me. Sorry for late reply. Thanks again.

Not sure what you mean, you have your own forum so have access to the modifications via your admin center.

Del, the modification center changes the E-Blah code... The E-Blah demo has the modification center removed so it cannot be used to mess up the demo and insert dangerous code. Your forum's modification center is fine though. :)
