Installed Shoutbox mod into new install of v10.3.5, and all I get is a message "YOUR BANNED FROM USING THIS SHOUTBOX!" in a bright blue box...

Followed the instructions, although this is a server specific install, so all cg-bin folders are in root, and then theres the blahdocs (with subfolders) in the root too. (its a subdomain....)

Any ideas whats wrong?

edit: looking at the functions.php, could it be because it IS a new forum, and there are no posts (even by myself) yet?

I'm having this same problem to.

I know I probably didn't set the config.php right but I'm not quite sure how to set it even after I read the install.

Does anyone know the answer to this? When I installed I got a long error, then changed a few things and got the banned message. When I tried to uninstall it though it stayed on the page. Luckily, I had backed everything up before installing it and trying to get it working. I'ld like to give it another go, but I I would also like to have some details about this error first if possible :)

Edit banned_ips.txt and put a bogus entry in it, something like 172.25.1.20 then reupload.

It's a mod, just a PHP script I intergrated into EBlah that you upload to your site.

It almost seems to be working now, I just keep getting to following message when ever I try to post:

"You are either not logged in, waiting validation or left the message field empty. Please enter a message or Login. Guests are not allowed to post."

I am logged in. My members directory is set correctly (to the forum/Members) and the cookie is set to the same one as the site. Any ideas?

Fixed it! Needed to add "_un" to end of cookie prefix :P
