Hi!
I would really appreciate if somebody could tell me the possibilities to convert an original Ultimate Bulletin Board forum - Infopop, which I bought some years ago and running on my site, to the E-Blah.
Thanks a lot.

Whoa! Usually there are converters, but with that being so old, i'd say its a massive job, IF its possible at all, You'd be best Paying Justin to have a go at that to be honest. It will be worth it :D ;) :P ;D :D

It could be possible, but Justin would have to make a converter. I haven't heard of the Ultimate Bulletin Board forum system. When was that made?

Well, I think it was one of the first big ones. Quite expensive. The company changed the name, now it´s http://www.groupee.com and fussioned with UBB.threads. They changed the whole thing to MySQL, but I don´t like to use MySQL.
The problem is that they are forums about Agriculture production and huge.
Ok, I´ll try to contact Justin to see what he can do.
Thanks. Rosa

Ok good plan, but on the MySQL thing, MySQL is excellent, there are really no downsides to it, it makes sense for a lot of reasons, speed, reliabilitly, ease of use and backup. all sorts, even eblah is being developed with SQL now. If your planning a massive forum upgrade, you really should speak to justin about using MySQL.

A long time ago where I used to host my site they offered UBB. I really didn't like it.

I think they are now at this url:
http://www.ubbcentral.com/

Like Rosa said, VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!

It has a nice layout, but yeah it's expensive. I like how Justin makes E-Blah freely available to the public.
