I am starting a new install on heartinternet. Eblah will install and work using the automatic install on my CP but due to previous issues i have had with installing this way i would like to do it manually.

I uploaded and CHMODed all files but when i try to run Setup.pl my browser opens a file download box and ask me if i want to save or open Setup.pl.

if i add a / after the url i get the following
"A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again."

Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

I have installed several sites on Heartinternet without a problem. With Heartinternet you have to put the forum folder in cgi-bin. ie: /cgi-bin/forum

The only other thing that would bring the download box is permissions set wrong, Heartinternet use 755 for folders and not 777.
