The following will add create a Google sitemap for your forum. Change the values as needed. I recommend renaming the file to like Sitemap325872.pl so that no one can execute it but you. The file MUST be in the same DIR as Blah.pl.

This file can also be added to your cron so that it'll automatically run.

There is a section half way down that allows your site map to be pinged to Google. This is good, but you'll have to know what your doing for that. Feel free to ask questions and I'll try to answer them.

I'm not 100% positive Google allows more than 1 site map per domain, so I added all my other pages to my Sitemap.pl under:

It's nice, it's neat. gss.xsl needs to be placed wherever sitemap.xml will be located. There shouldn't be any issues with this. Of course this will only work with P9.3, which still is yet to come out. I need to release it, but I still have a lot of bugs I have to work out. I'm just releasing THIS so that when P9.3 comes out we're all ready.

Please also note that the Sitemap WILL NOT include links to boards that GUESTS DO NOT have permission to. :)

Also, I almost didn't release this. There *may* be bugs in it, and if there are ... be prepared. It's under the same license as E-Blah. If it formats your server and causes it to blow up, concider this your first, final, and only warning. ;)

So does this generate the sitemap stuff for the rest of your site or only the forum? =P

I think if you generate it with this script, and then load that into the GScrawler program, you'd be able to set GScrawler to ignore the forum and follow the rest of your site ;-)

No. Since nothing on E-Blah.com really changes ... except the forum ... I just added those pages to Sitemap.pl here. This program make it so your server doesn't use an arm and leg bandwidth when indexing. And it'll find the links 1,000% quicker. It took me over 12 hours to do my index with the other program. :P  This one takes 10 seconds.

Here's an updated version which also gets the DATES for your sitemap.  Google will love it ...
