I have decided to go ahead and release the P6 release here.  It's only avalible in this message, and it still may/will contain bugs in it (so if you find them, report back and I'll fix them for P7).  Currently a lot of the code is being rewritten/reworked in P7, so since it has been about two months since the last release, I have decided to release it here.  I highly recommend new installs using the old P5 on the Downloads page, and then upgrading.  Do not install the PM Pop-ups, as P7 will be completely diffrent in how they are handeled, so to cause less confusion, I recommend not following the instructions in "Important.txt" (follow the rest, however).

Speaking of the Important.txt file.  It mentions this:

"If you wish to use the new Menu System (that IS NOT included in the
template, use the following codes in your template):"

I don't get this at all.  My template has this:

<blah v="$menubar">

and that creates the home calendar...etc...for all to see.  What is this new Menu system, and how does it work.  I tried to put the code in my template, but it doesn't show up.

Most people just want the Menu Bar ... some people might want the actual individual buttons hidden (like Search not to be displayed) or change the order of them.

yeah, that is what I am saying.  Putting the code in there doesn't make anything show up.  If I used that code instead of the menu bar, nothing would show up.  Or am I missing something?

did you put <blah v="$ .... "> ?

yes, and nothing shows....do I have to put the image tag in as well?  Because then it is not worth it.  I will just use the menu bar.  Not sure it makes sence to do this anyway.  If I understand you correctly, if I put that code in there, then it shows for all users.  For example, all users would see the admin button if I put that in the template.  I dig the way it works now.  I thought it was some new menu thing that works better or something, but it seems like it is just a different way to show the same thing as the normal menu:

The admin button, will only show if you are logged in as admin.

True that. The buttons will go away if they are not needed.  :)

True that...that you didn't answer my question about the image tag:)

you do not need to put in the image tag.

Hey Justin, I have this very weird problem. I upgrade to P6 and the PM doesn't work at all. I sent ton of PM to a few members and none of them receive it and they also ssent me PM but I didn't receive it either (already turn off the popup). The PM doesn't work on the Linux server (the one I'm having a problem with, server of StondSeller) but when I tried on my Windows server then it work. Very weird. What do u think?

One more thing. I tried to change the setting and save (it said Command Successfull but nothing change at all). It has errors when I didn't chmod the Board right (dir and files), and it didn't report any erorr in the Fatal error log. Very weird.

All the problems you speak of are CHMODing issues.  Rechmod everything and it should be fine.
