Is there a quick and painless way to allow a single member access to multiple restricted groups w/o granting admin rights?

ok, I even take a not-so-painless way ... lol.

Not to sure if I understand Andrea, but I think that what you need to do, is to set up a user group, and then select what permissions the user group has, is this the sort of thing that you are looking for??

Almost ... let's say I create a board for custom group A, another for custom group B, and a third C for all users.

Currently I can make member X only either a group member of A or group B to view either board A and C or board B+C, but not all A+B+C unless member X is also an admin. You get it now? I'm not very good in explaining ... i Know .. ;)

I've seen this referred to as "multiple user status" on a similar portal board system, but only in beta mode ... not sure if it was ever implemented other then on the coder's site. Unfortunately my own perl skills are more in the area of "home use" ... and it's a bigger bite then I can chew myself ...

OK, I think I am sort of with this... You can also set up "rights" for other user groups, just say called "members" and then give that user group the privileges that you want.. but you can only set one user group to each person, and not do a multiple one, this could end up being a bit risky for your board, if you were able to do this.

Yeah ... it's not so much a variation of access levels I'm after, but more to group by "target audiance" ... w/o making the information posted on either board public ... that's the idea behind it. And it seemed easier then setting up a separate board ...

Anyways, no big deal ... I asked. Thanks for your help Nat. ;)
