I know all the gifts are like, the coolest in the world (hey, who can disagree). But really, the gifts are great and all, but there was a much more cooler gift given a few 2,000 years ago.  The best part about it is this: It's free and it is the best gift you will ever recieve. Period.

The Christmas Story -- Summarized
I hope all of you will be blessed with a perfectly merry and wonderful day, with friends, family, or whoever you happen to be with!  I hope it will be filled with buckets of good cheer, good food, and good presents.  I hope you will take this time to look back on the year, and remember all the things you have to be thankful, the good and the bad.  And most of all, I hope you will take time to remember why we celebrate Christmas.  Remember the most important gift of all.  2000 years ago, give or take, God Himself became a human.  He didn't just hop down from heaven like He could've, with His angels headlining His approach.  He didn't choose to be born in a palace, with all the latest gadgets and gizmos to make His early life "better".  He didn't even choose to be born in a normal place, in a normal way.  He chose to be born in a stable, in a tiny, quiet town; To be placed in a feeding troth; to be greeted not by kings or angels, but by shepards, the lowest folks you could find in that town.  He could've come to this earth to be served like He deserves, but instead, He came to serve.  And so He chose to be born in the most humble way possible.  The King Of The Universe was born in a house for animals.  I don't know about you, but that's one of the most awesome things I can imagine.  So I sincerely hope that you will take some time, and remember that as wonderful and great it is to enjoy Christmas, with all it's friends and family, food and presents, we should also remember the greatest Gift of all.  Jesus.

The True Christmas Story
18 Now this is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 Joseph, her fiancé, being a just man, decided to break the engagement quietly, so as not to disgrace her publicly. 20 As he considered this, he fell asleep, and an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. "Joseph, son of David," the angel said, "do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." 22 All of this happened to fulfill the Lord's message through his prophet:
23"Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and he will be called Immanuel
            (meaning, God is with us)."
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord commanded. He brought Mary home to be his wife, 25 but she remained a virgin until her son was born. And Joseph named him Jesus."
