Mod Board? - Print Topic

You not gonna believe this but the server I was hosted on was hit by a DOS attack and all sites were lost... I have backups but it will take some time to get things back up and running.... :'( :'(

I tried the cgi a couple of times after I moved to the new server but it still wasn't working... Prolly just before you started running your own server Justin... :-/

Hopefully BlahHackz will be back up in a couple of days... Hopefully..

Nah, you have to have a new account on the server for perl to work. :P

Thanks for the mods you've written! :)

E-Blah main website provides the latest information and download of E-Blah forum software as well as a platform for users to interact with one another.

BlahHackz is another website that specialised with the customising of E-Blah's inteface and function. There, users exchange MODs, themes and Hacking tips. It used to be under E-Blah domain until few weeks ago due to the recent server changes.

It is currently down due to an unfortunate incident. If you like, I will add your MOD there when it is up! :)

hehe, don't worry, I wasn't mad, I just like to bug Justin for making me go to the dark side (aka E-Blah :P), anyways... Plese add them when it's up, I check it everyday :).

He was a true dark user until recent days (using YaBB ... scary).

lol ... I liked YaBB, untill they got bigheaded and wanted credit for everything, and left little modders out there (really, I didn't like the features, it wasn't being UPGRADED it was being DOWNGRADED). I didn't like it. lol

I installed both E-Blah & YABB to test out the features...

YABB do not have that much features compared with E-Blah. I like E-Blah better!

;) Why I made E-Blah for one. YaBB has features, you just have to hunt for them. And then when they're installed, somethings gonna look like crap (take the canendar feature in YaBB, LOL!).

you mean install the YABB features as add-ons?

Dunno much abt the YABB features in details as I took a glance and do not really like the Control Panel. It has fewer things than compared with E-Blah.

I also do not really like YABB's directory structure also. Too complicated.

Actualy, I haven't found an easier way of doing Cats/Boards/Messages. I tried to make it so the dumbest of the stupidiest (no one is dumb, just making it easy really, hehe) could do stuff. In YaBB, you have to install mods to get things working right. YaBB SP2 -- in beta -- has a lot of the features E-Blah has, but their complicated to figure out, a lot don't work, and really ... the boards about the fall apart. The install of SP2 is worse than crap (literaly). And speed? YaBB has never been faster than E-Blah ... never will either as long as I can help it. :P I've tried for speed, and that's what E-Blah has. hehe

Also, their so CSS driven now (E-Blah is slowing become more CSS dependent), that the default install looks worse than cow poop. I remember YaBB 1GF Beta6 (the one I used basically the entire time I had a YaBB board). In the Final of Gold release, their screwed up the design horribly. YaBB's so big because it was the first board out there, and YaBB's so proud of itself, it's scared of competition. If people saw E-Blah boards, YaBB knows they'd lose (yeah, try to guess why eblah.com gets hits from YaBBForum.com PASSWORDED FORUMS, and also try to figure out why TIM C of YABB registered a username here ;)). I call it scared. Some people may call it something else though. :P

Oh, I might add, try to go to YaBBForum.com and advertise E-Blah. LOL! I've heard of one person doing that ... post is deleted within an hour or two of posting. Another reason their scared. ;D

I'm glad ya did too. :) I love people just using E-Blah. I made it for myself when I needed a forum ... I don't really need one anymore, but that's what it was for. I wanted others to share in the fun. ;D
