If someone can translate ENG to CNS then yes.

Okay, now that I know, I will ask friends here in Hong Kong for translation. By the way, I tried, but the script will let me input Chinese characters (I can write Chinese), but doesn't show the Chinese when I confirm. How can I alter the script? Or can you? I need it so that it will accommodate most of the members of Asian & Hong Kong Dachshund Society, who are Chinese.
Cheers,

lapcheung,
I tried to reply to your email, but it came back for some reason. If you want users to be able to post in Chinese you have to put this meta tag in <head> section of template.pl
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=big5">
</head>
Good luck,
Jake

Hi Jake,
Email esta@lapcheung.org shoudld be working, although it's my new email since today. If I can send with it, I should be able to receive, right?
Great suggestion. With "template.pl" I guess you mean "template.html"? So it can be changed in the administration settings/edit board templates?
Cheers,
Esta
P.S.: FYI, lapcheung means sausage in Chinese. Since I have the Dachshund Society, I took the nickname lapcheung....sausage. LOL

mess!.......sorry, not against you. Pls. use harrypotter@cmi.com.hk That should work. I will check again with the host for the lapcheung account by Monday.
What DIR is the template.pl because I didn't see it. And then when I find it. Can I change it in Notepad, do "save as" with the doc name "template.pl" ?
Cheers,
Esta

It's template.html, actually. The template.pl system is 'obsolete' as of many versions ago.

Everybody thank you for your help and suggestions. I changed template.html and wrote sth in Chinese and it seems to be working. Now I found another problem, but that's for problems after installation, so I'll post it there.
Cheers,
Esta

By the way, when you upgrade, goto the Admin Center and goto the "Convert Templates" option near the bottom. For every template except the main one, you will need to go to the preferences and change all the .pl extentions to .html.

Thanks for info.
I thought I've done the conversion at some point when I was told to do so, but I guess I did not do it right. I am running version 2.6 and works the way it is now, the meta tag is in template.pl only, nowhere else.
I'll download and see what needs to be changed.
Thanks
