yes I have searched.

as 'Disable the notification service?' is a question, I presume ticking the box equalls 'yes please'? so un-ticking the box means the notification service is 'on'?

is that correct?

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of some accounts getting notifications and some not!

I have a similar problem.
I believe it something to do with RFC email validation.  I'm just not familiar enough with this to narrow down the problem.

[fingers-crossed]
I'm hoping I've fixed this now.
I'll keep an eye on my forum for a couple of days, and if it's fixed, I'll post a mod....

just experimented with the bdindex.db file. The flag IS getting set for the boards, count 5 /'s in after the board name and there is a 1 if set. So it must be something not correctly parsing the file when a  new thread is created.

I turned off validation! to get round the other problem. Now I cannot get a board to email upon a new thread being posted. Mailshot to members works OK. Begining to rue the daqy I started using this eblah.
