Hello to all I am after some advice,  I have taken a full backup of my forum, and have moved hosting comany, when I have tried to restore the forum on the new host i cannot get access to anything.  I have checked the file permissions, and checked to make sure my FTP was uploading correctly.  Anyone have a guide of how to restore from a Backup on a new site?

Is it possible to do a fresh install and copy across my content?

Many thanks in advance

Dominic

Yes, it's possible to do a fresh install and copy across, it depends on the version you're going from and too though.

What do you mean by "can't get access"? Do you mean cannot login? Cannot login as admin? Or cannot access the forum at all? Do you have a link?

500 access denied? 500 is internal server error, 530 or 403 would be access denied...

What error code is it? And where did you get the error? In FTP or in your browser? What were you doing?
