Anyone have challenges when searching for a PM?

I search by user and nothing returns, when I see the PM from that user in the From list within the PM area.  It just doesn't come up when I search.  It has been a challenge for a long time.

Also, I try to send a PM to a specific user and I get :

was not found. Your message was not sent to anyone.

All I am doing is sending a PM to a member...
