Hi  I'm new here and hoping someone can advise me.  I had a forum up and running on a hosted server then moved to another, which is a VPS.  The forum is on one domain on the VPS and I just copied it over.  I've changed IP addresses and everything but can't get it to even appear.  I'm just wondering now if I need to install E-Blah on the VPS itself.  It's not a package the server hosts offer, which is a shame and I've just told them so.  Do I need to install the package on the VPS too?  Any advice - or help - would be appreciated.

I take it your new host supports cgi scripts!
A link to the forum could help also.

Hi Martin.  Thanks for responding.  The link from my website is now working but takes me to a page I inserted for people to sign up.  It was a page I never used and a page I'll now have to remove.  I didn't provide a url because there was nothing coming up at all before.  Now at least I'm getting something so will try and remember what I did before to insert the unwanted subscription page.  The url is http://www.telephone-psychic.com  I'm going to try now and bring up the registration page to see if I've somehow added the subscription page from within eblah - wish me luck!  Again, thank you for your response, I really appreciate it.

Hi Martin
I do beg your pardon, I've got it wrong.  I clicked the wrong link so was getting taken to the form which I can now remove.  Eblah is VIP forum and the url is http://telephone-psychic.com/VIPLounge/
which brings up the following
#!/usr/bin/perl -w use strict; use CGI; if(-f "Setup.pl") { print CGI::redirect(-url=>"Setup.pl"); } else { print CGI::redirect(-url=>"Blah.pl"); }

Any advice most welcome.

http://telephone-psychic.com/VIPLounge/Blah.pl is your path but the file trys to download so your permissions are wrong or your host doesn't support cgi scripts.

Hi Martin

Thanks for that - and for the path!  I'll check the permissions again.  I know it's something simple that's of my doing because the host supports cgi scripts.  When the tried to help earlier this week the tech guy said that the cgi script was downloading so to talk to my web developer - like I have one.  That's why I wondered if I had to install eblah on the VPS as well and not just on one domain.  Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
