I have been having an issue with my forum for some time now, the issue is that the home page refuses to come up, but I can get to the admin page and any other page. This has happened 3 times and everytime I have been forced to install a fresh copy of Eblah and then restore my data and image directories.
I just did this for the 3rd time only 5 days ago and now it is stuck again,
Martin, if you have some time could you take a look for me please?

Can you be more specific about the error, any error messages for example.
And are you still with the same host that gave you all the grief before ?

I am still with the same host, but the problem seemed to be the board, when I install a new copy of eblah, all works fine for awhile. Days and maybe weeks until it stops loading the home page. There is no error message just spins the browser forever. But if I get in to one of the boards from a saved link, I can navigate from there except not to the home page.
I am going to disable all the boards on the forum to see if I can load the home page now, maybe one of the boards is corrupt?

I would suggest that this script is pretty robust, and the problems are with your host? From memory I do not remember the past problems, but it really does sound like a hosting problem.

How could it be? If I installed it fresh and reload my backup then it works fine for awhile.
Unless something in my backups is corrupt possibly, maybe the theme I am using? One of my boards could have some corruption in it and when someone load it to their browser that could be the trigger.
I have a very reputable host and have had them check my site several times. Each time there was no issue on there end, and I know they could just be saying that, but I don't think that is the case. I will troubleshoot the issue piece by piece, hopefully I will find something amiss.
Thanks for your reply, my forum is up again and I am starting to transfer boards and settings, I may keep the default theme for sometime to see if my modified theme is the problem.

I can say that it is definately not the script, there are thousands of EBlah users out there and I have never seen this behaviour before. I doubt it is your theme, if it were theme corruption then you would get some sort of html error displayed but saying that, try taking out the Paypal link for a while.

Your page doesn't validate, quite bad actually but still shouldn't be the cause.
