A Redeemed Sheep?

I've seen you guys here a while now, and seen your forum several times, congrats on it's success.
But what on earth is a redeemed sheep?
To me, it's a sheep that's been hit by the most powerful weapon in the Unreal Tournament games...
But I'm guessing it has a different meaning to your community. I know what "redeemed" means, but are that many sheep really disowned? lol
Every online name has an origin, I'm curious to yours.
