We are just starting to operate a forum (using v. 10.3.6), so adding boards a lot.  Someone asked for a board for her thread topic, so I created the board and redirected the thread to it, checking the box to leave a redirect message.  Several days have passed so there is no longer a need to have the redirect notice showing in the original location, but I don't see a way to remove the redirect notice.  Am I being dumb?  Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Sorry I was unclear--it isn't the entire board, it is a single thread on the board.  When you move a thread, and you check the box next to the text:
"Leave a Redirect Thread?
This will leave a ghost thread that will redirect to this threads new location."

That ghost thread has served its purpose, and I want to make it go away, but I can't figure out how.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly (bit rusty) go and edit the original post and the option will be there. I may be wrong as its been 2 years lol. Just want to try and help!

thelonerider--thanks, but the problem is that when I try to edit the original thread, it is the thread in the new location.  I want to REMOVE the ghost thread, but if I click remove when editing the original thread, it will take out the original thread.  I'm sure I'm missing something terribly obvious (I'm pretty much a neophyte), but I just don't see a way to make the ghost thread disappear

Go to the Board index where the redirect is.

Tick the box for the redirect (on the right hand side)

Go to the bottom and tick remove

Then click complete.

The redirect will be removed and the wanted thread will remain.

Old Dog:

Thank you!  That was it.  I had not previously noticed that, when in admin mode, the border on the board index page ALSO contains the lock/remove/move etc. checkboxes. Duh!  Next time I'll know.
