Let me see if I can say what my problem is without sounding off the wall.

I upload a file via E-Blah. After a few moments, the page refreshes and the "Remaining Attachment Space" acts as if the file was deducted from the total space allowed, but it doesn't show up on the list. I hit submit and the forum processes but the attached file isn't on the thread. Now here is what is weird: I check the server and the file is in /blahdocs/uploads/ but not on the E-Blah thread.

Any clues as of what to do? It's not a real big problem on this forum since it is a test forum, but it works on another E-Blah forum I host.

What file type is it? and do you have that file type allowed in your settings?

It is allowed (I don't have restrictions on). And it is a media file.

It's not a case of having a restriction on, you need to manually specify the file extension. Also, what type of media file? Some need to be zipped before they can be uploaded because of the MIME type set on the server.

That is what is weird. I can do it on the other sites I host (same server), but not this one. Also it's an mp3 (sorry for not being more specific, racking my brains out on trying how to write a PERL addon for E-Blah and I'm a PHP developer)

You'll have to zip the file to upload it. Or when it's clicked the browser will try to play it. You can force a download prompt via a MIME type setting in your .htaccess file but it's probably best to just zip it.

I mean it does it with all the files. Even the zipped ones. What is puzzling is another site I host doesn't have this problem. Hopefully these screen shots help more. They are in the /blahdocs/upload directory also. I used putty in this example zipped up for size purposes.

I doubt it helps but another bit of information is that it is hosted on a sub-domain.

Your path's to uploads is probably wrong but couldn't say for sure.
