How do you get the mods you install to appear in the places they should be on your forum?

I installed the extra registration fields mod and the media mod to my forum and the scripts installed ok. What do I have to do next? Do I edit the post code by putting some or all of the media mod code in it? Do I do the same thing for the registration code and profile code? Did I just neglect to read instructions somewhere? I'm quite confused. Please someone enlighten me. Thanks, I appreciate it very much!

Once you've successfully installed the mod, Go to admin settings and enable/configure it.

You confused me with the "edit post code" thing though...

Another question: where exactly are the admin settings to enable them?

I've not used the mod myself but from what i know. They're in the main settings panel. Where you set the forums email address, forum name etc... that's where martin said the option to enable the mod once installed is..

I looked everywhere and such an option to enable the mods are not there. I guess I will have to wait for Martin's reply.

extra registration fields mod
This has been a problem for a few people, and I, have most of Martins mods installed, but so far have not been able to get this one to work.

I am sure that when Martin has time, he will be around to advise

Well, should the media mod work? I can't find/enable that either.

I'm not sure if Martin's mod looks similar. I'm using Opfer's "Additinal Fields" mod to display and require new fields. After installation there's a new configuration option in the main "Forum Setup" section of the administration panel. There you can chose where to show this fields and if they are required during registration or not. See attached (german) screenshot of where the setting is in Opfer's mod. I guess Martin did it in a similar way.

Edit: Martin has put it in the main configuration area. There's a new block titled "Extended Registration Options" where you can find it.

Where is the link to download Opfer's "Additinal Fields" mod? And how do you get the media mod to enable? I followed all the directions provided and I still can't enable the media mod. What did I do wrong there?

Did you follow Martin's instructions from the install.txt to get the mod working? Are you using a windows or a linux server? I think Opfer's mod is a bit outdated (I do have some old versions running as well).
