The scale on the graphs in my eblah stats doesnt seem right, should it be linear?

The bar is split into 4 with 5 labels (inc zero) - I'd expect 25% each section.

1st 25% : correct.
2nd  8% : ???
3rd 16% : ???
4th 50% : ???

wait no need to.  i see what you mean.  that is odd!  however this is an issue with google charts, not E-Blah.  all E-Blah does is run the numbers through google.

i get the same numbers:
25%
8%
16%
50%

10.3.6 uses google charts to show a visual graph in the extended statistics area.

Oh I knew that I meant why is Mealybar expecting each proportion to be equal? Just because there are four doesn't mean they need to be equal surely.. Maybe I'm missing something..

Surely they dont make any sense without a reliable linear scale?

I meant, Why do they all have to be 25% 25% 25% 25% ? Why can't they be 10% 30% 40% 20%? not all proportions need to be equal surely?

i see what you're saying, but i don't think this is a problem.  they are still displayed proportionately.

How so?

Say you have 25k clicks = to the 25% bar. And then next month you get 33k clicks, and this shows as 50% on the graph. But by no mean is that a doubling of the numbers. Its a 32% increase being shown as a 100% increase.

Again say bar 1 you have 50k clicks ie up to the top of the 3rd quarter. You then reach 99k clicks but on the graph its only representing that as a 32% increase when in fact it is 98% increase.

Pretty pictures yes, but worthless to assess how your figures are actually going.

As hephnet says, if you want more in-depth stats, then you should have some stat software running on your server, plenty are available

Check out the query string passed to Google Charts, that is what defines the y axis on the graph. I'm really stumped why it was coded like this to give a skewed graphic

I'm not getting it here?

Charts is sometimes a little quirky -- you have to pass the data kind of strangely for some of the graphs.
