This may be a separate topic.  It does, however, relate to Smilies, as well as many/most images on E-Blah that are intended to render text "on mouseover."

In Mozilla browsers, the text to be rendered "on mouseover" is not displayed, when only the alt= parameter is utilized on the image tag in the code, as it is here (and many other websites).  The addition of a title= parameter with the text will display in Mozilla browsers.

On a personal note, I have this thread bookmarked, and I am not receiving notifications of replies to it, although this may (or may not) be a personal problem on my end.  Also, I would have inserted some "Smilies" in this post, but I'm using IE 6 and don't feel like looking up the characters to type in to have them displayed...
