I updagrade to 10.3.5 (with the latest nightly) and folks are unable to click on Smilies and have them added to their posts.  I know this is happening is IE 6 becuase I'm using it now, and the feature is not working here.  It does, however, work in FireFox.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm gettin' complaints.

All the best,

Jimbo

I'm not sure what you can do to fix it but they could copy the image locations and paste like so;

Just until you fix it.
Good luck

I don't think that will work for these folks.  They just want to click on the Smilies and have them added to their post as before.

I don't really see me fixin' anythang.   I think that it is a bug in the software.

I can't really dictate what browsers folks use.  Many (like me) have IE 6 at the office.

As always, add 98 cents to this, you'll have a buck.

Thanks for the response though.

All the best,

Jimbo

I am also getting complaints about this. They can't use the default .png smilies that show up next to the text box. They are able to type :D :) and get the smilies to show up though. They are also able to click on "Add More Smiles" and those will work.

If you are using the advanced editor then turn it off, there are still a few glitches.

I don't have the box checked for advanced editor either.  As I said, it's not working here on the E-Blah forum either in IE 6 (still a highly used browser).

Any help would be apprciated.  This is a very visible issue.

All the best,

Jimbo

Ie6 won't produce any error. It just doesn'T do anything. I have an instance of IE6 on work for development purposes.

I can confirm that in IE6, the smiles don't work....like right here on this board.  However, if I click 'add more smilies" then I can choose any of those with no problem.   The mouse arrow, never turns from the 'arrow' to the 'hand' shape like in the other browsers or other clickable links here.

Ok, I -think- this is an issue with css and the ":hover" attribute in the css file.   I did some research and there are lots of posts about problems with how ie6 vs ie7 treats this 'hover' thing differently.   One solution that people have mentioned was to use a file called "csshover.htc".  See this link:  http://www.xs4all.nl/~peterned/csshover.html
(Seems like it might be a non-elegant workaround)

I've seen this happen at some other sites a while back and think this -might- be related.  It would be nice to get his fixed as I think there is still a good 25% of people that are still on IE6.
