Forum backup file is in right directory, but can't download it.

From what I've learned already, its likely to be about permissions, isn't it!

So, here they are!

cgi-bin     4.00 KB              rwx r-x r-x
forum     4.00 KB              rwx r-x r-x
backup_full.tar.gz     472 KB              rw- r-- r--

Hope this is sufficient info.

Sorry, missed out the id info:

v 10.3.6 (current version)

http://www.davidandsue.net

It's possible Martin still has my login details from my install problem a week or so ago: if so, please feel free...

Thanks for this. I don't want to start using the forum properly until I can backup sucessfully, of course.

Downloading the file has nothing to do with the permissions, you just download it with and ftp program, I use cuteftp free.

Once downloaded, you need winrar or something similar to uncompress it if needed.

Well, I booted up filezilla, and tried again, ready to take notes of the error messages. This time I discovered that the error message was because I had ALREADY downloaded it without realising.

I'm so good I hadn't noticed lol.

Thanks again, Martin. You are a star.
