I am trying to setup the human verification part of the forum and all I get is an empty grid no text. It tells me that my libgd is not compiled right.

How do I fix this?

Thanks,

Alex

Download the attached, unzip and upload the GD folder complete to your forum folder. Upload it in ASCII.

If it still doesn't work then your host will have to fix the module in question.

If this is your own server then you need to rebuild libgd with true type support. If your site is hosted then your host needs to do it.

This would depend on your servers OS and configuration etc. Your best bet is to google it.

Yeah, Google using the key parts of your configuration and problem in your search, you might find someone else has had the same problem on the same configuration, That would be the best way to find a guide etc..

I could not findanything that was helpful. Working with PERL is new for me and I just did not understand all the stuff I found. I will check back from time to time and see if anyone else has the problem and what they did to fix it. My server is running Windows 2003.

My best advice would be to find a server support forum, we try our best to help each other with E-Blah problems and configurations, but your problem is with a completely separate module, as i've never set-up a windows server before i couldn't help guide you through that I'm afraid...

But I'm sure there are forums out their (probably running E-Blah  ) who specialise in server support...

Hope you find the help you need.

In a command prompt, run:

c:\perl\bin\ppm install http://www.bribes.org/perl/ppm/GD.ppd

See if that will work.

If you get errors, remove all of the c:\perl directory, then install ActivePerl again.

If you have problems, still, I can install it for you for a small fee (just e-mail me at justin@eblah.com).  I will need RDC access for that.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
