Hi,
On my forum I have my own account, but also another 'Admin' account which the admins have decided to share between them.
I wanted to change my personal accounts password, so tried doing this through 'Admin'.
Didn't fill in the Admin verification (I think that was it), and now it's locked me out. Says the password is invalid, and also the 'forgot your password' isn't working.
PS, it's installed through heart.

Edit your .dat file and look for these lines:

verifyquick =
adminverify =
verifyage =

if they exist make a backup of the .dat then delete the entire lines.

Hi
Don't think or know if we have dat. files? Just 1 click on Heart, and it was loaded.
The only place I might find it, is through Admin Panel if that's able to load it??
Otherwise, is there any way I can change the password back?
Thanks,

You do have .dat files, they are in the members directory. Open the forum in your FTP client and browse until you find the members folder. You'll see 1.dat, 2.dat etc.. the first account created will be 1.dat. I'm guessing thats you.

Thank you. When I find it, what do I do next?
Also, I don't have FTP.

I've taken me off the team, re-added myself, but after changing the password.
Anyway, thanks.

When you've found it, you can follow martins instructions above. regarding the .dat file for your account.
