I recently installed the software, but have not been able to log in as an admin (or as an account that I created either).

It always gives me this error message:

Login Failure
Your login information was incorrect.

      • Invalid Username


When I installed, I left the admin password as the default.

I've tried Administrator with admin as the password,
and admin with admin.

And I created a new user, and can't log in with that one either.

PS: I had a thought - is there a file where the information is stored that may have the wrong permissions?

Hi, Via your FTP software, download the 1.dat file from members directory, That's you. It will tell you your username and password.

If that's not the problem check your CHMOD permissions using the following url as a guide.

I don't have a file by that name in that directory.


Could someone send me a default one to use?

The only files that I have there is

.htaccess
LastMem.txt
List.txt
List2.txt
MaxMember.count

List and List2 are completely empty

I had to make two changes from the install instructions.

1) Make the members directory permission with a write also
2) Make the boards directory permission writable for the IUSR user also.
