I would like to have both a user name and a screen name in my member list.  Can I do this? It would be nice to have a user name and a screen name on the registration page.   using version E-blah10.3.5

Hi Tim.. you can download a mod for this called Add Extra Registration Fields.. then you can set it so that members need to add a member name.. as well as a screen name.
You can either set it to either require the extra fields for registration on your site.. or as a personal info field once a member has registered.

Here's the url for the mods section .. http://www.eblah.com/alldownloads.php

Found the mod ""Add Extra Registration Fields, think you.  I uploaded it in ASCII mode and did a test install.  At the bottom of the page I got a message that said the  mod will not install correctly.  Is this going to be a problem.

Thanks for all your help, its great to have support when you are new at this sort of thing.

Look at each code snippet the mod installer is going to change, If all is well they'll all be highlighted green, If any are surrounded by a red box then the mod probably will not install correctly on your setup.

Back up the forum anyway before installing the mod, even if it says it will work fine..

Thank you for the help

Two of the code snippets came up red.  I installed the mod anyway and it did not load properly, there is no change in the admin setup.  Is there anything I can do to get my extra field on the registration screen.  I now have only screen name, email and password,  and would like to have user name also.

Solved the problem.  I did not decompress the file after I downloaded it.  Now I have the registration fields up and working

Still having problems with the "Add Extra Registration Fields".  I have it installed and it comes up on the admin setup screen. I have selected the full name field to be added to the registration log on screen.  The field appears on the screes as requested  but when you summit the registration you get an  error message "full address required" even though I have not requested that information and there is no place for it  on the registration screen.  If I uncheck the required field box in the admin settings  for full name. the registration will submit OK.  The full name that is submitted upon registration does not seem to appear anywhere in the forum that I can find.  Were does this information appear?

Thank you for the help
