I've downloaded the green_pro theme and uploaded it to blahdocs.

I have then search new themes- no new themes.
I then renamed it X2 and tried that- nothing.
I then deleted all old themes and uploaded- nothing.
I've put it in the cgi folder, blahdocs, templates- nothing.
It's there I can see it I just can't get it?!

Now it just gives an error message the forum is:

Hey Charlotte!

The theme needs to go in the templates folder, Needs to be uploaded in Binary mode, Not ASCII mode. Check you uploaded in the right format.

You did unzip the theme before uploading right? Maybe a silly question but it's an option... It needs to be unzipped so just the folder itself containing template.html among other files and folders.

When you've uploaded, go to the theme section of admin Center > Themes manager > "search for new themes"

If it still doesn't show up. Let us know...

Hope some of that helps

Yup, In the "Transfer" menu in the top of wise ftp you can select binary, auto or ascii, auto doesn't always work, set it to binary while you upload the theme.

Hi Charlotte

I know you're going to hate this suggestion but if I were you and you can't access the admin now I would delete all references to the forum that you uploaded to your server and do a new install.  You now know how to do it and how to install the themes.

Please let me know if you get it working!

Have A Wonderful Day!

All sorted Charlotte!

I understand why you were ripping your hair out, Everything was correct...

The problem was your theme was in a folder in a folder so:

green_pro > green_pro > *theme files/folders*

when it should have been

green_pro > *theme files/folders*
