Greetings!

Just wondering if anyone out there uses Hostway (www.hostway.com) as their service provider and if you have been able to use E-Blah with them.

I downloaded Eblah onto my own site (www.mytwocentsonline.net) for the purpose of experimenting with the software.  I use ipower.com for my server and they are great.

Once E-Blah was working well, I went to set it up on the site I really wanted to put it on and it doesn't work.

I think it has something to do with it being a Windows-based server, and not being able to run programs outside the cgi-bin directory.

Anyone have any suggestions about a fix or work around.  We don't want to just up and move from our current server.  Everything else on our site is working well (www.cfcmi.org) and we have been served well by them in the past.

Thanks for any input.

You will need to change the permissions on the files -- have you done this?  Also, the only way to work on some Windows servers is through the CGI-BIN, depending on how the server is setup.

Some Windows servers do not have Perl, so also make certain that it does.  Furthermore, edit the first like of Blah.pl and Setup.pl to say #!c:\perl\bin\perl.exe

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Thanks, Justin.

I did change the permissions.  The other issues I will need to follow up on.  You have me started in the right direction.
