Hi, i noticed that the forum has a clever title system it has the title of the forum itself which you set in settings and it has the thread your reading title displayed in the browser window top/left.

I checked this out in template.html i noticed that when your viewing the board index it has double titles, I've racked my brains for hours thinking i caused this, then i checked and eblah.com has the same problem. What can i do to fix this? I consider this quite important.

Edit your template and look for:

Code <title><blah v="$title"> - <blah v="$mbname"></title>

Change to:

Code <title><blah v="$title"></title>

I sussed that but then when a user or google is viewing a thread it only displays the title of the thread, not followed by the forum name, isn't there a way of simply stopping the title of the board index being reported?

i guess  - <blah v="$mbname"> gets the veriable which is the title in settings.pl maybe? if so couldnt the code for JUST the board index be changed so it's title wouldnt be reported and then it would only be displayed once?


I guess the <blah v="$title"> reports the title of the forum and the <blah v="$mbname"> reports the title of the thread, so we get a problem when the board index is viewed because both these values are the same, is there no way of removing just the mbname for the board index? so it is only displayed once at board index but is still displayed along with the thread title when a thread is viewed?
