Is there any way by which I can add some  java script code to a post in some thread by editing its text file in /messages folder or by any other means ?

I want to add code of a ad network to specific posts, so that when users see that post they also see the ad along with it

The code is in java script and if i try to add it by editing the post than it does not render itself and only appears as text

Maxy, in your settings there is a box to paste ad code, usually if using google ads google bots will be called to your site when the code is first used, they crawl the site then show relevent ads to the threads content, view mine as an example http://i-CONICA.net simply paste the code obtained from google or your ad network into that box and save, keep looking at your active users, usually within 30 minutes you'll see googlebot having a browse.

PS. Maybe Justin can answer this? When you select "max ads to show" just above the ad code box in settings, you cannot enter a number larger than 10? when you do no ads are shown.
What exactly does this do? does it mean max ads to show at any one time on the forum for all users globally or does it mean per thread? I'm unsure.. Thanks.

actually I have a old eblah version Platinum 8.2 so this option is not available but may be martin or justin can help ?

I dont want to upgrade as the urls are also changed in new version and that means that I will lose all search engine rankings

Isn't there some place or file in sourcecode where I just put the code and it will start working ?
