I have a question about changes to the member groups area.  What change occurs when  the box, "show as part of team" if checked?  I
see no diference to the boards after doing so. I am including a screen shot of the member groups page.

In writting this a new question comes to mind.  On my forum when writting a message as I am now and discover an error in my typing and try to edit the error, I cannot simply place the curser in the area where the mistake is useing the mouse as I can here.  I have to move the curser useing the arrows on the keypad. Whats up with this?

I'm not sure about your second question.

The team makes user groups bold on Message Display pages, and also shows up as part of the group in the Member List/Groups/Group Name.

You're saying that when you're typing you can't change the cursor position with the mouse?

This is probably a problem with your computer and not the forum.  You either need to restart your browser, restart your computer, or download the necessary OS updates.

Let me try to explain this again...If I am creating a message (thread) and discover I typed something incorrectly in the message, or I am editing an existing thread and try to correct it by moving the curser to the area of the text where the error exists, I cannot do so.  I move the mouse pointer to the area I wish to edit and left click the mouse to set the curser there and instead of the curser now being placed here, I get the little hand icon while the left botton on the mouse is held down, but the curser remains where it was.  Also, and I am sure this is a seperate problem, the words do not wrap when you reach the end of a line. I get something like this example:

The quick red fox jumped ov  | end of line
er the lazy brown dogs bac   | end of line
k.                                           | end of line

Does this all make since?

Thanks in advance for your help....
Bill

You have a major problem with your host, every link I select on your site takes me to a cgi disabled site with your host.

No I think I understood you pretty well.

You can't set the cursor inside the text, with the mouse... it's not difficult to understand.

I registered on your forum: http://subasepearldet716.freehosting.net/cgi/forum/Blah.pl
And I am not having this problem.

Again

This is most likely a COM issue with the textbox itself that the Browser uses based on your Operating System.  All textboxes pretty much use the same model.  Restart your computer.

First off, I would like to thank everyone trying to help me.  My last message explaining what I had posted earlier was actually intended to clarify to Justin what I had earlier posted.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.  Yes I am having major server problems.  I have been intermittnatly getting the CGI disabled message for some time.  I have delt with support at Freeservers many times now.  They can't seem to correct the problem where there is any longivity.  As it is right now,  I cant log onto the Forum by any means.  All I get is the browser message that the webpage can not be found.  Another phone call in the morning to support I supose.  Any reccomendations as to a new website provider would be welcome as I am about ready to switch.  The problem with the mouse and curser is nothing new.  This has been a problem since day one.  My OS is Windows XP and has the latest updates installed.  As soon as I can get back onto the Forum with another computer I will see if there is a difference.

Again, my thanks to all concerned....
Bill

Good Morning!  I just got off the phone with support and they are working on my problem.  I was able to get into the forum with two different computers and try to edit a post with the same results on both.  One system is running XP and the other is running Vista.  When I try to place the cursor in the text, I get the "hand" icon when I left click the mouse and the cursor remains where it was. Also the text on both do not wrap to the next line.  I have a couple other questions but will leave them for now as I don't want to confuse this any more then it already is.

In regard to the "not wrapping", look in your template.css for this line:

Code
word-break: break-all; /* This doesn't work in FF, pt of CSS3 */

If you have it, delete it.

Yeah I'm getting the cgi disabled page now, requesting that you log in and enable it.

There's plenty of free hosts out there.  I think I'm using x10hosting.com

As for the text clicking problem.  I didn't have it the one time I could log in, so I can only assume it's the computer or browser you're using.  I am also at work, so maybe it is my computer that is allowing me

I'll try when I get home if your page is ever up and running.

Hmm.  Your problem with the cursor could be a problem with your browser, with CSS, or something with your theme (perhaps you forgot to close a <div> or </table>)?

Can you verify that it occurs in Firefox and IE7?

You know what I like most about E-Blah?  It is the willingness of the staff and members to jump in and lend a helping hand.  My hat's off to all of you for the support.

First off I want to thank Martin, as his suggestion to check for the line word-break: break-all; /* This doesn't work in FF, pt of CSS3 */ in my template.css file and delete it if it is there.  It was there, I deleted it and now the words wraps to the next line if there isn't room for another word.

Justin, I think you are on to something.  I just logged onto the site with FireFox and everything is fine there.  I can move the cursor to an area to edit using the mouse.  So, any idea as to what setting in IE7 needs to be changed to work there as well?  I prefer IE7 over FireFox, and I know I am sticking my neck out there making that statement.

I wish to express my thanks to vol7ron and Jackiey Channs as well for their time and efforts.  You guys and Gals all Rock....

Bill
