Using what I've coined "eSQL-Blah" (E-Blah's SQL Version), I've tried to set up the forum.  I've read in other posts where users are getting the message:
You do not have the right credentials to view this board, or there is no board to be found. If you are a guest, you may have to register before any forums are available.

I guess the question I have is what is the difference between a Board and a Category.  I didn't pay any attention to the "Board Setup" because in the Category Setup, I was able to set the Parent Category.  So I eventually had something like 4 root categories and 17 subcategories in them.

I'm curious if this is set up correctly.  Should my subcategories actually be Boards?  Do I need to delete all these subcategories?

Thx,
vol7ron

Yep... I was wrong again.  They look the same on the outside, but it's official.  Boards are the only place you can start threads.  Categories are just the literal category of the Boards.  The flat-file look/feel was much easier to understand - everything was in one place.  So even though subcategories and board folders look the same in quick view, they aren't.

I redid that feature because the time it would have taken me to do them like the flat-file version would have just been too large.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

I don't blame you.  Maybe I'll develop the site a little bit and post some install scripts to make some nice mods.  I really want a credit system and a forum store front.  I feel like you should have to buy the right to have a signature or a thumbnail
