Here is the E-Blah Template Editor Beta 3 release. The interface was kept pretty much the same in this release as in Beta 2. This release was more of an upgrade to E-Blah 10.3.5 and a few bug fixes. This release includes updated support for E-Blah 10.3.5. It generates valid xhtml and css for use with both E-Blah 10.2.5 and E-Blah 10.3.5. There has also been a few additions to the theme generation wizard for more customization. There is more of a description of updates in help.txt included with the attached zip. Please let me know of any issues or suggestions regarding this release. I am trying very hard to make a good quality program. I need users to test the program and try to break it so I can fix it. If you break it, that's good. That means I can improve the program even more. I also want to include custom features to make life easier.

For anyone interested, the source code is available on Codeplex. http://www.codeplex.com/EBlahTemplateEditor
Let me know if you have any questions. If you would like to help with developing this application, let me know. I can setup source control so that we are modifying the most recent files.

What steps are you taking with making your theme?

I'm working on a preview function for themes. This will allow you to see the way your theme looks before you upload or click finish on the Theme Wizard. I hope that this will help with making themes a lot better. I may even make a live preview like seen in major HTML editors such as Dream Weaver.

Try reinstalling or installing the latest version of .net framework, downloadable from Microsoft's website.

I'm glad that people are still using this program. I know that it's been a while since the last release. I am still working on the program when I have the time. My semester is almost finished and I will hopefully be able to release the first stable release of the E-Blah Template Editor. The features that I will list may or may not be included in the final release. I'm hoping that it will include a feature that will allow for templates to be designed fro all versions of E-Blah 10.x.x and above. I am working on writing an XML template parser that will dynamically be able to generate a template based on the default template included with each release of E-Blah. This will make my job easier with maintenance and keeping it up to date. A few other features that I've been working on is a live preview function, FTP client, and WYSIWYG editor. I am open to suggestions on new features to be implemented. Please let me know your feedback.

I have put the C++ conversion project on hold for right now. Perhaps I will continue the C++ conversion later, but for now, it will remain in C# .NET. I have made the program compatible with .NET 2.0 so that it does not require .NET 3.5 to be run. Also, the application now works with Windows Vista without problems regarding path issues. I fixed how the program would resolve direct paths on the user's system. It was configured to work with Windows XP paths directly, but I have fixed that now.

I've attached a preview screenshot of the main window for the final release. Please note that some things may change for the actual release.

Good Day PcMan!
I love the idea and admire such a load of work done!
In Thailand, we are experiencing some Internet access/connections challenges recently, and I'm not able to browse or download anything without interruptions each 5 or so minutes ... so I actually couldn't test the program yet ... and, i wonder whether is possible to use it also for flash video embedding?  ,,, you know, like dreamwaver ... click to embed a swf file - and voila - done ..?!
to be able to add some flash buttons, banners, headers, news, slide shows, etc.,?
that would help to make eBlah a really exciting forum/portal script ... i think ..?

I am working on implementing a full WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor for the template editor. I'm not sure when the full feature list will be finished, but so far I've got basic functions like bolding, italicizing, and underlining text. I plan to add features similar to what you might see in Dreamweaver, but I don't want to rebuild Dreamweaver. lol I have a live preview working within the editor so that you can see changes that you make to your template.css on the fly. It's a great feature to have. It's taken a long time to perfect, but I'm proud of where it is at right now. I am continuing to work on the program in my spare time and hopefully will have a new release very soon.
