Hi

I've just checked on my forum (http://www.selby3lakes.com/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?) and my name has been changed to the username '1', I cannot see any change in my posts or the layout of the forum to suggest someone has hacked it, however I have lost all admin access and no longer have control, the user '1' is also logged as a guest and not admin.
Any suggestions / advice would be greatfully received as i'm stuck as to what to do other than wipe the forum

Alan

This happens on my forum a bit..not sure why, but I usually only have to reload my member dat file from the backups.  There has been the odd occasion that didn't work unless I upload the member log file as well.  So if you have a backup..look for 1.dat and 1.log in your members folder.

That's all I can suggest..so if that doesn't work just wait for one of the eblah guys to come online!

Chez:

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately i've not yet made a backup as the forum has only been running maybe 2 weeks so it looks like i'm going to have to make a fresh start

Justin:
Again, thanks for replying, I'm struggling to see where a lack of space could be the issue on a forum with only 25 posts and 14 members though.  Also, as I say, just my account has been changed and everyone elses seems to be intact, and their accounts seem to be active as well as I have seen people logged in since this occurred, which tells me this isn't the same issue.  I have also ran other forums in the past and not suffered storage issues.

It's usually the server ran out of physical space.  Usually only the really active people will get hit because their member file is opened and saved a lot.
