Did you get a red box warning during the install?  If not, try removing the .htaccess files in /blahdocs and all subdirectories.

Did you put /blahdocs somewhere else?

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

I got the red warning for three files and went into setup.pl and edited the paths.  It then no longer gave me the warning. All the forum files are in a directory called cgi.  The blahdocs are in a directory called public_html.  I can do a screen shot the the file structure if that would help.

You need to be sure to give the absolute path to your blahdocs folder on your server in order for themes to show up properly. Look at your settings.pl and check to see if the paths are correct.

Even if your idea seems whack, stick with it and make it happen.

Edited Setup or Settings.pl?

If you have a .htaccess in /blahdocs then delete/rename it.

Sorry about that...I ment to say I edited the settings.pl file not the setup.pl file.  I also tried renameing htaccess.pl to htaccesshold.pl. nothing seems to work.  I accidently deleated some files on my website with filezilla prior to reloading this program but am reassured by the website support staff that it would have nothing to do with the problem I am having.  Just thought I would throw that out there.  I am ready to cry uncle and pay Justin to get this up and running.

The .htaccess did work for the images.

Go to Admin/Settings and give me the directory paths for blahdocs, templates, and the avatars directories.  I may be able to tell what needs changing by that.

Edit: I fixed it by logging in as admin to your forum.  You had an /Avatars/templates, probably due to a copy and paste during setup.  It's all good now.

I could kiss you....<grin>....Now if you will enlighten me as to how to actually incorporate this into my website,  would be appreciated.  Do I link it to my Home Page or what?

When we get this up and on line I will pay you your install fee or contribute to your site.

God Bless.....

I still have questions.

1) How do I log on as administer?  I need the path or link.  I wish to do a little editing to the page sach as the name of the site etc.
2) Can I link messages to the administer to my current e-mail address ab0ot@juno.com? In the initial setup I went with the defalt e-mail address.
3) To which file in the program do I use to link to the Forum from my home page?

I probably will have more questions as time goes.  I want to say,  I truely like this site and the support is superb.  And I wish thank each and every one of you for you gracious help. I am going to make a contribution to the site because I want to keep this site going for as long as I have my site up. I invite you to visit my site at:  http://www.subasepearldet716.freehosting.net .
