After some months I'm back and still wishing to update our forum. Now es some big and experimented some troubles.

1. Time outs when access the admin center. Specially when try to access "user validation" section. Whe have little more than 12,000 registered users.

2. When a user choose a nickname with a comma, for example "new,user" there is no way to manipulate the account unless edit the register directly in the server. BUT THIS IS WORST when the comma appear as first character:

For various reasons, we prefer to validate -by email and by the admin- all new accounts. and today a user tries to register a non-acceptable user name: ,hOOker. I have to admin users (one only for securety) named "hector" and "hy" respectivetely and when in control panal conected as "hector" I tried to remove the mentioned account, the system ERASE my own account "hector". So when I note that I think that I made a big mistake, so I connect again using the backup "hy" acount and repeat the operation and again "hy" was erased!!!

Now the second trouble is this. When I tried to reregister the "hector" user, the system refuse it since there was another user named "HECTOR" this was with capitals. The only way to recover my account, was to backup the HECTOR account, and erase the respective files, then reconstruct the member list and register the "hector" account". Once registerd, copy again from the backup the "HECTOR" files and recontruct the list again. This trouble exist because the code make its comparations using lower cases.

9.71B is extremely old and isn't supported anymore.  I highly recommend you upgrade your forum to 10.3.5.  It should fix at least a few of the issues you mentioned.
