I installing E-Blah on my linux system now.
I done all from UNIX CHMOD SETTINGS table from blahdocs install manual.
But when i press "save and finish install, i got error - Cannot write to /Prefs, please check your Settings.pl file and try again.

If i CHMOD all directory "forum" to 777 recursively - all goes fine, but i think that is not good for security.

so i have some questions:
Why i get this error message?
Who must be the owner of "forum" directory? My owner is root now.
When i change CHMOD, must i set group, owner and premissions recursively? (i using WinSCP)

your cmos is frozen

Change the owner/group to whatever Apache runs as, which in most instances, it is apache/apache.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
