How do I get a background image or color to work ?

I'm using the "Clean White" Template and customizing it to my site

Yes, this is set in the body tag of the template.css file.

Code
body {
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	margin          : 0;
	text-align      : center;
}


and change the color to what you want.

If you want and image then upload your image to .blahdocs/images and change it to:

	background-image: url(/blahdocs/images/yourimage.jpg);
	margin          : 0;
	text-align      : center;
}

I changed the color on the style sheet and nope it didn't work - I am going to redownload the clean white to make sure the one I have isn't corrupt.

Ok....

I don't get it

Redownloaded the clean white template and revised the template.html so My logo was at the top

I've updated the template.css sheet and added a background image

Still not working

Fixed it for you, you were using \ instead of / in you image path.
