I may have spotted a bug when the Recent posts option is used, from the Total Forum Statistics section.

When Blah Code appears in the initial summary from the posts listed beneath Search Results - Recent posts as of less than a minute ago only the first tag is interpreted as code, while the second seems to be ignored. This means that the customisation is not turned off once it has been activated.

The normal view of the same message in the context of its thread is perfect.

For example:-

Code Since the old grey was too, well, er, um, [i]grey[/i], I decided to lift some of the formatting...

Appears as follows in the Recent posts summary:-

     Since the old grey was too, well, er, um, grey[/i], I decided to lift some of the formatting from...

And as follows when seen in the normal thread:-

     Since the old grey was too, well, er, um, grey, I decided to lift some of the formatting from...
