When I run setup.pl I get to the part that says DIrectory Success, but then when I fill that out
and click Save and Finish install, I get the following error:

Cannot write to /Prefs, please check your Settings.pl file and try again.

Well I checked all my paths in Settings.pl and double checked the permissions
and I still get the error.

I am installing this on my own computer not a server somewhere, I have installed
Blah before but never ran into this problem, of course there was no install script back
then either.

ANy advice?

Thanks

Make sure the directory is CHMODed and that the server has access to that directory to read/write.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

All directories are chmodded to 777

Settings.pl is chmod 666

owner and group are nobody.nobody

The server has access to the directory

I have other web pages running on this computer, I can't figure what's going on with this.

I figured it out. httpd was running as group, daemon instead of group, nobody.

Thanks
