Hi, I'm having trouble installing my eblah forum. My host is Streamlinenet, I chose eblah as I have another eblah forum running perfectly well on another site (through Heart internet) which was no trouble at all.  Anyway, I have uploaded all the files according to the guide http://www.blahdocs.com/Performing_a_new_installation_of_E-Blah, using SmartFTP.  However, when I type in the address to the setup.pl file, I get an Error 404 Not Found message: "The requested URL /cgi-bin/forum/Setup.pl was not found on this server."

I've spoken to Streamline and as far as I'm aware, I shouldn't need to upgrade my account with them in order to get the forum up and running. Is there anyone out there who can help at all??

Thanks in advance,
roger484

Hard to tell with out a site address, try CHMOD folders to 755 instead of 777 and make sure you upload code in ASCII.

I've tried that but it made no difference. Do I need MySQL for it to work? Or Anything else? My current hosting package is this one, http://www.streamline.net/hu.php, it supports the following:
Linux - PHP 4 or 5, CGI, C Perl, Python, SSG (shell access)
Windows - PHP 4, ASP, Perl, CGI, SHTML, IHTML

It's currently running on Linux. I'm a bit of a novice with installing forums and don't really understand!

I have used AceFTP for years without a problem.

If you get totally stuck and want me to take a look then pm me ftp access info.
