is there a way to set the permissions as to what groups can see the calendar?

I require logon for the forum, but I would like to have anyone be able to see the calendar?  is that possible?

Just make all of the forums hidden from all but the users you want to, and then make a board just for guests that tell them to register.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

ok.. I can't figure out how to allow guest access to read only for the forum.  It keeps telling me to login when I go to try to view the calendar.

how do I set guest access to read for the forum?

thanks.

I have decided to go with a separate calendar (webcalendar).  How do I turn the calendar off in the forum?

thanks.

You can't... just use the customised menu in your template to remove the calendar button.  Else you could just use a htaccess file to redirect.

hmmm... I don't see the separate buttons -specifically the calendar button- in the template (thru the template manager).

is the calendar button somewhere else?

The button config is part of the code. You will need to edit Routines.pl and change this:

Code
	$calmenu = qq~<a href="$surl\lv-cal/" rel="nofollow">$Mimg{'cal'}</a>~;
	$searchmenu = qq~<a href="$surl\lv-search/~; $searchmenu .= "b-$URL{'b'}/" if($URL{'b'}); $searchmenu .= qq~">$Mimg{'search'}</a>~;

	$menubar = '<div class="menubar">'.$homemenu.$sep.$help.$Mmsp2.$calmenu.$Mmsp2.$searchmenu.$Mmsp2;

with this:

Code
#	$calmenu = qq~<a href="$surl\lv-cal/" rel="nofollow">$Mimg{'cal'}</a>~;
	$searchmenu = qq~<a href="$surl\lv-search/~; $searchmenu .= "b-$URL{'b'}/" if($URL{'b'}); $searchmenu .= qq~">$Mimg{'search'}</a>~;

	$menubar = '<div class="menubar">'.$homemenu.$sep.$help.$Mmsp2.$searchmenu.$Mmsp2;
