I uploaded and can't get the setup script to run.

I uploaded in ASCII and Binary as instructed.

I notice on the instructions to set permissions, I don't have some files and are missing:

/cgi-bin/forum/Mods/Modules ( all it has is .htaccess)

/cgi-bin/forum/Prefs/BHITS (all it has is .htaccess)

/cgi-bin/forum/Prefs/HITS (obviously don't have it because all there is in Prefs is the .htaccess)

/blahdocs/Random

/blahdocs/uploads

/blahdocs/uploads/thumbnails (obviously don't have because there isn't a uploads)

Does anyone know why I don't have those files?

My server returns a 500 server error - I encountered an unrecoverable server error. Please go back and try again.

The missing directories are created by the Setup so if Setup.pl hasn't run, this is why they are missing.
Try setting your forum folder to 755 instead of 777, some servers/hosts won't alloww 777 on folders in cgi-bin.

Also, confirm with your host that cgi scripting is enabled.

Also make sure you are running Setup.pl and not Blah.pl.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
