I have many questions...first of all, I didn't have these two files in my remote directory for my site: public_html or HTDOCS...so, I dragged over the public_html folder from my local directory.  Was that correct?

I am using smartftp, and when I went to change the permissions, chmod, there are three columns...user, group and others.  I guessed that on this page: http://www.blahdocs.com/Performing_a_new_installation_of_E-Blah, when it says "Read & Execute / List Folder Contents / Read", that these are changes to the first, second and third columns.  Did I do that correctly?  Also, my smartftp does not include "list folder contents".

Then finally, I don't know what to do with step 3...where do I put this url?

Thanks for your help...this is my first time, a novice.

Take a screenshot of what everything looks like after you have it uploaded (SmartFTP) so I can see what you're talking about.

You're going to have to change the permissions via your hosts control panel, if they have one, or let them change the permissions for you.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
