Hello everyone,
I am using Apache2 with Perl 5.8 on Windows XP platform.
I worked with many scripts downloaded from Internet and figured out what shebang line must be written to the first line of my CGI and Perl scripts. (which is this: #!D:/Perl/bin/perl.exe and it works).

The scripts worked perfect until I downloaded a forum script from this website. I followed the installation guide here: http://www.blahdocs.com/Performing_a_new_installation_of_E-Blah and I could successfully Install the forum on my machine by running Setup.pl (existing in the package).
I encountered the error 500 (Internal Server Error) as my browser wanted to run the file Blah.pl. I know this error is a very common one and I searched the Internet to get the solution. But it did not work. As I am running scripts on my home based windows server (with the help of apache2), I think CHMOD and ASCII are not applicable in this matter (i just think!).

So, please help me to find out the answer. Most of the results i got on the net were related to UNIX servers and servers that hosted files on the net (and not home based servers).

by the way, this is the error line in my Apache error.log:
[Mon Sep 24 00:05:11 2007] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Execution of D:/Apache/Apache2/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl aborted due to compilation errors.\r

I am a newbie in cgi scripting matter!
any comments and help will be appreciated.

nobody to answer me?
ok no problem,
I tried the YaBB forum script and it worked well. I think the problem was just about the environment, i mean my apache, perl, or something else I am not aware of, but not the script itself! maybe!

Did you run Setup.pl?
