1) CHANGE YOUR ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD, First guess got it.
2) Instead of /blahdocs you needed /rt2maine/coffeeshop/blahdocs

Thank you. I will change my password soon.

Maybe you could advise me on what files to overwrite with my old forum files to get
that information into the board? I will search the board in the meantime.

Thanks again

Copy Members, Messages, uploads, Boards, and Prefs if you want to keep some of your old settings (possible problems caused by that).

So you advise not transfering Prefs?

I'd advise you to rename the Prefs folder on your new install to Prefs_old before transfering the old one. If there's a problem you can go back to that one. If there isn't, you can delete it.

I have another couple of problems.

If I go to lost password the Email works fine but when I click to verify I get page not found.

Also page not found when I try to get attachment from Forum.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark

The path to uploads is incorrect in Admin.

The Forgot Password function is 404'ing because there's a missing "f" in coffee. Check all your URLs in Admin.

A few suggestions for you:

  • Check to see if you have MD5 installed. If you do, enable it. You can use longer passwords.
  • Instead of password-protecting boards (i.e. Board of Directors), create member groups. That way, other people won't even be able to see the board, and members who are allowed to won't need to authenticate each time. Also, you can't share passwords.
