I've searched around, but couldn't find an answer to this question.
Is there a way to upgrade from E-Blah Platinum 8.3 to the current version of E-Blah?
I ported the E-Blah perl files so they'd run on OpenVMS a few years ago. I've recently moved my forums to a UNIX box. One of them was pretty new, so I figured out the changes that needed to be made and did them by hand (and re-created the dozen or so accounts by hand).
But my other forum has around a 1,000 posts and over 100 members, and I'd really rather avoid trying to fix the files to work under V10. At a minimum, the Members files have changed from username.dat to 1.dat and are completely different inside (and much better, I should add). But it didn't look like I could drop version 10 on top of 8.3 and have things work properly. Can I? Or am I pretty much stuck at 8.3.
Thanks for E-Blah! When I was looking for something that would run on OpenVMS, E-Blah was the only software I could find that was written purely in Perl.
