Is your back up on your hard drive? Have you now got the forum running with your new host?

Normally what you do is you install the version that the backup is from and then upload the following directories to your server:
Boards
Members
Messages
Prefs (include BHITS and HITS)
Then login as admin and go to your admin center and rebuild your boards, recount your post counts, and rebuild your member list.
After you do that, then you upgrade to 10.2.5.

Of depending on which version you were previously running, you could just upload those folders over the current 10.2.5. folders, upload the Setup.pl file from the 10.2.5. download, and run the Setup again but perform an upgrade instead of a new install.
After you do that, login as admin and go to your admin center and rebuild your boards, recount your post counts, and rebuild your member list.

Either way will work really.
